Contryman Associates, P.C. is proud to announce that Laurie Buhlke, CPA, Tax Manager has become a shareholder in the firm, marking a significant step forward in her career and the continued growth of the organization.
Laurie joined Contryman Associates, P.C. after graduating from the University of Nebraska Kearney where she earned her bachelor degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting. She began her career in 2016 with Contryman Associates, P.C. in Scottsbluff, NE. She then relocated to Grand Island, NE in December of 2019. Throughout her time with the firm, she has demonstrated exceptional drive, dedication, relationship-building expertise, and technical proficiency—qualities essential for leadership in today’s ever-changing business landscape. A recent graduate of the Emerging Leaders Academy and a current participant in the New Partner Program with Upstream Academy, Laurie brings fresh perspectives and innovative ideas as a next-generation leader.
Laurie is a Certified Public Accountant, member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Nebraska Society of Certified Public Accountants (NESCPA). Laurie enjoys being active within the Grand Island community and within her profession. Currently she serves as a board member for Goodwill Industries Foundation of Greater Nebraska, Inc., a finance committee member for Habitat for Humanity, a member of the advisory council for Central Community College and a board member for the Nebraska Society of Certified Public Accountants.
This year, Contryman Associates celebrated an incredible milestone—85 years of providing trusted accounting and consulting services to clients. Achieving such a legacy is only possible by empowering new leaders to take the baton and carry the firm into the future. Laurie’s promotion underscores Contryman Associates’ commitment to fostering internal growth and providing limitless opportunities for team members to advance.
